Stress Testing, also referred to as a Network Stress Testing, refers to the process of testing the network device/element under abnormal network load, significantly higher than the normal load to which the network is subjected to. The purpose of such tests is to ensure that the software does not fail in conditions of insufficient computational resources like lack of memory or CPU utilization, an unusually high number of requests, or denial of service attacks.
